After kissing Quinn for the first time, he was so glad that it was with her. Even though he had nothing to compare it to, he knew that it would never be as good than it was with her. There was everything he could possibly hope for. The passion he almost got lost in, as well as the love that she showed him were the sweetest fruits he had ever tasted. They needed to collect themselves though, so when he finally pulled away it was a tough pill to swallow. At least their closeness was not jeopardized as he felt her hands trailing his neck. “I would love nothing more than to keep you warm, although I doubt that it will be a big deal after what just happened.” She was being so flirty, he tried to be just as flirty, but he was not nearly as experienced.
On her count, they finally found themselves submerged and he was able to see her underwater. Years of swimming without goggles had allowed him to get his eyes accustomed to the sting most people felt with the chlorine water. He had never seen anything so splendid, her hair splayed around her in a wreath. None of that took away from her face which looked scrunched up as she held her breath. It was cute and beautiful at the same time, he wanted to stay down there and marvel at her forever. The moment lasted as long as it could though, and they were back above the surface before he knew it. Pulling her a little closer after her dip, he made sure to try to keep as little space between them as possible. “I’ll try to keep you a little warmer,” Artie said as he wrapped both hands around her, trying to keep the cold water abay. “I always loved it here, and I’m so glad to be able to share it with you.” It meant a lot to Artie that he could share something so important with her.
Quinn was honored that she got to be the one to give Artie his first kiss, and though she wanted to stay wrapped up forever with his body flush against hers, it probably wasn’t the smartest idea if they wanted to take things slow; she was a lady, but she still didn’t have full control over all her emotions. On her count, the two dove beneath the surface, she now fully engulfed within the pool water. Immediately Quinn’s eyes fell closed, for she knew the chlorine would have them burning, and given that she wasn’t the best swimmer, her face remained scrunched up in hopes of blocking any water from entering her nose - like a child might do. Only able to hold her breath for so long, the blonde soon emerged from below, Artie still beneath, which she wasn’t surprised at all about; considering this was a ritual he did as often as possible, she was certain his lung capacity was much better than her own. Smiling but shivering as Artie resurfaced, Quinn inched a little closer to his form, letting out a happy little squeal as Artie reeled her in closely to himself.
Having appreciated his earlier flirtations (he was much better at it than she figured he gave himself credit for), Quinn practically melted within his embrace, her arms sliding to wind around him again, she hugging him close and letting the body warmth keep her heated. “You’re already doing so, no worries there. And I guess this is a little more innocent than before,” she chuckled, referring to his early suggestive comment. The fact that he was just as happy to share this special place with her as she was to be the one he had chosen flooded her heart with love, and instinctively, Quinn clutched him a little tighter, as if she didn’t ever want to let go. “It’s amazing, and I just feel so privileged to be the one who gets to enjoy it with you…” she pressed a kiss to his cheek, though her lips then ran across his jaw. “To be the one you show all your sides to…” she left another kiss there, “and the one you’ve shared your kisses with,” she grinned, pressing a tender, chaste kiss to his lips. “I know things seem bleak sometimes, but since you’ve entered my life— even more so now… sharing yourself with me, I see a light at the end of the tunnel,” Quinn whispered, giving his nose a little nuzzle as she remained there contently in his arms.

There was truly nothing comparable to kissing Quinn the way he was now. His words seemed to have a positive effect on her, as she started to kiss him with renewed vigor. He opened his mouth when he felt her tongue on his lips, and it was not long before his found hers instinctively. They broke apart just in time for him to breathe. He loved kissing her so much, he would probably pass out before he willingly parted from her lips. Soon though, her lips were on his neck once more, and she continued to make those beautiful noises that really made him feel like a man. She held onto him almost as tightly as he was holding onto her, and it just made everything better. It was a real turn on seeing her be as dominant as she was. He was literally backed against the wall, and it only enhanced the feeling of closeness with Quinn. “I have no doubt I’ll have lots of regrets, but putting you in charge of this venture will not be one of them.” Her innuendo was not lost on him, only confirming what he knew, that she did in fact know his current state of arousal. The increased pressure she exerted on his hips did not go unnoticed, although it did nothing to put his mind at ease. “I think you’ll find me quite capable to follow your pacing.” He had no idea what was coming, but if she wanted it he would certainly follow.
She seemed to take a change of pace though, as she leaned in for a slower kiss. Instead of the heated passion, this one seemed more mellow. It was as if he could feel the tenderness and love she was conveying and it was certainly not unwelcome. It made him feel as if all was right in the world, and that as long as he had her in his arms, he doubted the feeling would go away. Artie thought it would be a great idea to finally take the plunge. If she was hot, then he was molten. He needed a moment to step back and think, and he hoped the cool waters would do just that. With everything that just happened, he thought it would at least get him ready for their next encounter. “Let’s do it.” Artie said as he let go of any traction he had with the wall. “The quicker you do this, the sooner the cold part is over.” He said trying to give her one last piece of advice.
Quinn had always been somewhat of a dominant person; it allowed her to charm her way through just about anything, which was an important asset when it came to infiltrating TW and other organizations to better help her fellow ND members. She had been admittedly holding back on Artie; she didn’t want to scare him with such boldness, but after sharing a couple of searing kisses, Quinn simply couldn’t control the craving any longer. He made her feel so alive; the kisses full of fireworks and unlike any she had ever shared before. Leading the way, Artie quickly caught on, their tongues tangling and drawing several moans from Quinn that she couldn’t restrain. Daringly pressing him against the wall and suggestively emphasizing that she could feel he was as aroused as she, the blonde let her hips meld to his a little longer before pulling back, only because she feared that if she didn’t, she might take things too far. They had finally shared their first kiss, and should be relishing the moment, even if temptation threatened to intervene. Trying to cool things down with a softer kiss and hoping to express how much adulation she held for him, Quinn kept her embrace of Artie close but gentle as their lips began a much slower dance this time.
Once they parted and she finally collected breath, fingers grazed along Artie’s neck, Quinn smirking as she responded to his earlier comments between kisses. “Then I guess I’m in charge, and I have no doubt in my mind you can keep up with the pace.” Sealing her words with another gentle peck - it was clear they both needed a way to cool off - so what was better than a dip in the water? Suggesting this, Quinn nodded at Artie’s advice and followed him off the wall, keeping close to him as she prepared to freeze her ass off. “Okay, but if I’m cold when we leave, you have to keep me warm,” she grinned, giving him a flirty little wink and biting her lip, clearly trying to stall. She had waited long enough though, and still could feel the burning in her loins from their make-out session, though Quinn wasn’t certain a dunk in the water could resolve that. “Alright, on the count of three. One… two… three!” she squealed before sinking under the water, drenching her head and the rest of her hair that had remained dry until now. As the flood washed over her, she felt rejuvenated— relaxed; she understood why Artie love to spend his time here. Resurfacing and brushing some hair from her eyes, the blonde grinned across at Artie happily, despite the slight chattering of her teeth. “That felt so great, even if I’m a bit chilly now,” she chuckled, shivering slightly. “I really love it here, especially because of you.”

5-18-7:
Artie was quite pleased with her answer. He could feel her hands playing on his back, slowly melting away every thought he had that wasn’t the blonde in front of him. “How could I not want to spend every moment with the most amazing person ever?” Artie smiled as he looked at the blonde once more. He held no complaints as she placed her lips on his once more, drawing him deeper into her embrace, both physically and mentally. He knew he wasn’t the only one to lose himself when he heard a small moan come from Quinn. It was one of the greatest things he had ever heard in his life, and definitely the sexist. To think that he could elicit such a provocative sound from her was all the motivation he needed to ask for more ‘lessons’ from her. “There’s a lot more I’d like to learn from you, but as the professor, I’ll let you set the lesson plan.” With her head on his neck, he was definitely feeling a lot warmer than before. With her hot breath on his shoulder, he was quite certain he was aroused. She didn’t point it out though, if she noticed, or rather despite the fact that she noticed. He had no doubt given their close proximity.
He had to admit he was a little apprehensive of what her reaction might be, but it was assuaged as she looked into his eyes, and he saw nothing resembling annoyance. As she closed the gap once more, only a fool would still worry, and Artie was no fool. She was more passionate than ever, and Artie could only note this before being consumed himself. Through instinct, and her gentle guidance, somehow he managed to lose himself in their fervent exchanges without a worry on his mind.
Quinn felt her cheeks burning brightly as she was called the most amazing person ever. Sure, she was used to people calling her pretty and such, but no one seemed to care past that; it meant the world to her that Artie did. She was about to comment on the remark, though instead, her lips instinctively sought out his again, a happy sigh escaping as she relished the taste of his lips, and once he’d allowed her permission, her tongue mingled with his, savoring the moment. Artie was a fast learner, his mouth instantly melding with hers, and only when she was in desperate need of breath did she pull away, though she kept her form close to his— so much that she could feel his heart pound against her chest and his arousal press into her. Eliciting another moan as her face pressed into his neck, Quinn kept a tight hold on the man she adored, her lips ghosting kisses over his skin as she let his words about letting her set the lesson plans sink in. Kissing him another fervent time, the blonde let her glittering gaze land on his once it was over and she smirked.
“I get to be in charge, huh? You might regret that decision,” she mused, floating in the water a little more until she had Artie carefully and tenderly pinned against the wall. “But you know, if I go too fast or hard for you,” she enunciated suggestively, purposely pressing her hips into his and hinting as she felt his member through the tight swimwear right against her center now, “Just tell me and I promise to go easy.” She couldn’t help but tease, and part of Quinn was riled up now; a feeling that she hadn’t experienced with anyone in years. She knew not to move too quickly though, and also didn’t want to make Artie too uncomfortable. Softening her expression, she leaned in for what had come to be one of many kisses now— though this one was much softer and loving than the rest. Hooking her arms back around his neck once more, she grinned.
“Wanna take that plunge at the same time now? I’ve still yet to go underwater completely and you’ve got me all hot,” Quinn admitted. She needed a way to cool off, and to control herself before she scared him away.

5-18-7:
There was no doubt in Artie’s mind that his favorite place would always be by Quinn’s side. This afternoon spent with her was proof enough of that. “I would love to have you by my side as long as possible. For now though, we just have to enjoy what we can.” He was so close to her, he could feel every shiver, as he held her close. He just rested his head atop hers and enjoyed the smell of her despite the strong chlorine. In his experience nothing could overpower the scent of chlorine, yet somehow she managed to do so. “I’d never let you go if I had a choice.”
It was the little things, as they kissed, that showed her greater experience in the area. Every little thing she did, Artie could only reciprocate as he explored this new world he had only recently discovered. It was not often that Artie was not in the lead, and Artie let enjoyed this feeling of confidence, knowing that he could trust Quinn in every way possible. He could feel her tongue dance along his lips. Who knew a such a powerful muscle could be so sensual too? He too, tried to follow bringing his along her lips.
“I concur. Given the choice, I would kiss you until I am too physically exhausted.” He could feel her eyelashes along his cheek, reminding him once more just how close they were. “Maybe I’m a fast learner, but I wouldn’t be where I am without my teacher.” He replied earnestly. “I’m happy to be of service anytime. I know I can definitely say the same.” Her hand was idling on the side of his neck and he was glad for the break. He knew he was treading in dangerous waters. With her so close, he had no doubt she would be able to feel his arousal, should it come up given their previous make out session. She would probably know about it even before him. He feared even the cold pool water wouldn’t be enough to drown his lust toward the beautiful woman in front of him. The last thing he needed was to scare her away because of something he had so little control over.
“Trust me, I intend on doing just that. I’m going to relish any time I have with you,” she promised, smiling to herself as Artie’s head rested atop hers. Quinn had never felt so genuinely content as she did right now, and discreetly she inhaled his scent as they remained pressed together, her fingertips dancing along spine. “We’re thinking the same, and that’s what’s most important to me. Maybe you can’t hold me forever, but the fact that you want to is enough.” Feeling the desire to kiss him once more, Quinn did exactly that; gingerly, her tongue glided along the soft plump of his lower pout in tease, but also to teach. This was all new to Artie— she wanted him to enjoy it, but also feel confident; as he mirrored the action, it seemed as though her plan was doing exactly that. Unable to restrain herself, a small moan fell at the contact, and Quinn felt the heat rise slightly in her cheeks. “Mm, guess so. You do catch on rather quickly. Anything else you want to learn about, I’m eager to help,” she mused before burying her face in his neck. She was certain that the warmth of her blush had heated up his own flesh compared to the cold water, and wrapping her arms a bit more tightly around his frame, Quinn left a tender kiss there. They were so very close that she could feel everything— not that she was complaining.
Apparently she wasn’t the only one slightly aroused with their proximity, though given the fact that they were half submerged in water gave her the advantage of him not bring able to tell of this. It wasn’t something she would point out - especially given Artie’s modesty in the matter - it might embarrass him, not that she thought he should have any reason to be. Quinn though, felt quite proud to have such an effect on him, and if anything, it also made her more confident in her advances. She knew not to get too heated with him this first time, but decided a little more experimenting before they possibly actually did some swimming, would be okay. Lifting her hazel eyes, she gazed into blue, searching once more before capturing Artie’s lips again, the meet more ardent than ever. Still letting her nails dance across his back as a gentle reminder to relax, Quinn’s tongue once again skimmed his mouth, this time licking along the seam of Artie’s lips as a silent beg for entrance, and soon her tongue met his in a slow, but loving tangle.

5-18-7:
The moment was just about as perfect as it could get. He certainly wouldn’t change anything even if he could, and that was as close to perfect that he was willing to hope for. To be able to hold Quinn in his hands, and see every emotion run across her beautiful face was a gift he wouldn’t trade for the world. The sun was coming in at the perfect angle that it was reflecting off of Quinn’s back beautifully. With her nuzzling his cheek, Artie just admired the peaceful beauty that surrounded them.
He had never shared something so intimate with anyone before. To know that Quinn was also feeling the same way and that it was also her first time feeling this way, was a miracle in itself. Her reassurance was everything he wanted to hear, and his doubts were already parting ways. Smiling earnestly, Artie gave thanks that he was able to be so close to such an amazing woman. With her lips on his skin, it was not hard for Artie to lose himself in their embrace, only knowing that he wanted her to continue.
“As long as you’re by my side, I’m sure you’ll live up to my expectations.” Now that his hand could no longer rest on her cheek, it found it’s way to the small of her back hoping to keep her as close as possible. Only moments later, he found he already missed her lips and quickly rectified this as he drew her closer once more.
Quinn felt as though she was floating on air, not just water— in all her years men may have chased after her, but none of them were a comparison to Artie; he truly had everything she wanted in a guy. He was gentle and caring - intelligent and handsome… sexy in a sophisticated way, and he liked her just the way she was. There was no wall needed to build up and keep her heart safe, and she knew he’d never hurt her; she cherished this moment with him by expressing in pure affection what words sometimes left difficult to say. “I promise I’ll stay by your side as long as you have me. You’re the only one I see in such a way, and the only one I want to be myself around.” Gently, Quinn murmured these words into his neck, and as she felt his hands fall to the small of her back, she shivered slightly, in a pleasurable way. The way he held her so carefully made her feel like she was a treasure, and that was definitely a reflection of what she considered Artie to be.
One kiss— not even two really seemed to be enough; not with the romantic setting and the way the sunshine cast down upon them, but Quinn didn’t want to push boundaries. She was pleasantly surprised when Artie once again reeled her in for another kiss, and this time she took the opportunity to draw it out, letting her lips linger over his and even giving his lower one a gentle but playful little nibble. Her fingertips danced along his spine, tracing soothingly and never loosening the grip of him, not even as she drug her tongue along his lower lip to ail the tiny love bite she’d given. “I could kiss you all day,” Quinn whispered, pressing another tender peck to his mouth and letting her eyelashes tickle his cheeks. “If you hadn’t told me that was your first, I wouldn’t believe you,” she grinned wholly now, raising a hand to stroke the side of Artie’s neck adoringly as she just lingered there in his space. “Best kiss I’ve ever had.”

5-18-7:
Artie had never been one to be put under a woman’s spell, but Quinn’s feminine wiles were super effective. “Since you’re asked so politely I’d be happy to.” It was amazing to have her in his arms, and he was happy to just revel in her presence. The idea that he might be able to spend his work time with her was extremely enticing. He nuzzled her back with every bit of affection that he could muster. With only the two of them in the pool, it felt like their own private paradise. Nothing could ruin this moment, and so far, it had held true. He brought his free hand up to her cheek finally placing a kiss on her lips, something he had longed for.
He had nothing to compare it to, but he knew that no other kiss would be like this. He didn’t want anything to compare it to, knowing that it would only tarnish this moment. The smile on her face when he pulled away was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. To know that he put it there filled him with pride. Nodding his head dumbly, Artie knew she was right that it was indeed perfect. They were pressed so close together he knew she could feel his out of control heart. Glad that she was taking the lead, Artie happily returned her second kiss.
The way she said she adored him was all he wanted to hear. She was so close, and it meant so much that he was the only one to hear it. “I am so glad to hear that. I adore you in every way too.” Artie was never one for too many words, but in this situation, he tried to make an exception. Especially for her. “I’ve never really felt this way about anyone before. I just hope I’m enough for you.”
Quinn was on cloud nine as Artie kissed her, the dreamy state never fading once they pulled back and she smiled at him, hazel eyes glittering as they drank in blue. She was so honored to be his first kiss; it meant the world to Quinn, and if she were able to erase all her previous kisses so Artie was her first as well, she’d gladly do so. This was the first time it all felt real— there were fireworks, and her own heart began thrumming as quickly as Artie’s. Leaning into his palm as it still cradled her cheek, Quinn mirrored the affectionate gesture and kissed him once again, grinning wholly as he returned it. Her arms slowly slipped around his neck, and as they tugged back a second time, she nuzzled his cheek a second time.
“I’ve never felt this way either Artie,” she murmured softly, letting their gazes meet again as her fingers now tenderly stroked along the nape of his neck. His statement that he hoped to be enough for her had Quinn reeling him in impossibly closer, her forehead coming to gently rest against Artie’s. “You are more than enough for me— please don’t ever think otherwise. I promise, you are always on my mind no matter what I’m doing; my eyes are only for you, and the rest of me too.” Feeling more affectionate than usual and a little more comfortable at showering him in it now, Quinn trailed a few kisses across his cheek and jaw before sighing happily. “You are perfect for me; I just hope I can live up to your expectations.”

5-18-7:
“A very good idea, Ms. Fabray. Great minds think alike. I’m more than willing to give you as much Artie time as you need.” Artie answered back. His least favorite thing about this job was the amount of time it took away from him. Before Quinn, this hadn’t been a problem since he had no need for time. Once he had a taste of what it was like spending time with her, it was a lot harder to go back to what he was used to. “Well, swimming is definitely a skill ND agents should have. I suppose if you ask politely I might be able to personally give you training.”
Quinn’s playfulness was infectious, and Artie was laughing wholeheartedly as he closed the gap between them. “We can take that first dip together then.” It was nice feeling Quinn’s arms slide around behind him. “Like I said, I’m not going anywhere.” Artie could feel Quinn strengthen her embrace, and it felt amazing. It made him feel so wanted, not because of his mind or what he knew, but because she wanted him. “It would be a small price to pay to stay this way forever.”
She was so close to him. Quinn nuzzling his cheek was the cutest thing ever. It would be the easiest thing to kiss her now when she was so close. He could feel his heartbeat in his chest going out of control as he leaned in and tentatively placed his lips on hers. It was the most exhilarating thing he had experience in his life. The thrill of exploring new ground was incomparable. Pulling away after a moment, Artie wondered what to do next.
“Well, and we indeed both have great minds, though I would love some personal training sessions with you. You’re the only one I would trust to do so.” Jutting her lower lip out a little and fluttering her long lashes at him, Quinn smiled. “When am I ever not polite to you, Artie Abrams?” Her tone was teasing and light, and as they began embracing one another, Artie’s hold definitely had her warm beneath the cool surface of the water. She did hate that work came between their time together, but it was of course something Quinn understood and always would - even if the desire to sometimes push it aside for more of a relationship were infinitely strong. “I like the idea of taking the first dip together… and good, because I might not let you go anyway,” she chuckled, grasping him a bit tighter as she nuzzled Artie’s cheek. Obviously this wasn’t something they could enjoy all of the time, so she was going to bask in the moment as much as possible.
The wheels in her head were turning; part of the blonde wanted to lean in and steal Artie’s first kiss— she afraid he wouldn’t make the move; then again, she didn’t want him upset or mad at her either, and as she internally debated this, all thought and hesitance was quickly erased when she felt his soft lips press to her own. The connection took her breath away; it felt like nothing Quinn had ever experienced in her life, and she couldn’t imagine another kiss ever feeling so completely perfect; she couldn’t imagine another kiss - with anyone else - period. Immediately, Quinn pressed back, smiling into the embrace, her expression never fading as Artie tugged away. This was all new to him, and she hoped he wouldn’t regret sharing a first kiss with her. “That was perfect,” she whispered softly, lifting a palm to cradle Artie’s cheek as her other arm kept him held closely against her; she could feel his heart beating against her chest— much like her own was. Searching his eyes and letting her gaze fall to his lips, Quinn very slowly leaned back in to capture his lips on her own account this time, her fingers stroking his cheek as she sighed happily— lips beginning a slow rhythm with his, still carefully. “I adore you, Artie.”

5-18-7:
Artie was glad that she felt safe in the pool. At the heart of ND’s headquarters, Artie couldn’t think of a safer place, both literally and metaphorically. “Very much so.” Artie smiled happily knowing that he meant so much to her. “You make it sound like it was possible for me to leave you,” he joked. She was so stunning, he found it unbelievable that any man would be able to leave her. “How to keep you warm then?” Artie mused as he made his way toward her. Grabbing the wall next to her, Artie rested his arms on the wall, keeping himself next to her and turned his head, reminiscing a little before answering. “You’d be surprised how well you can do something after a long time. Maybe 8 years now? I swam since before I joined ND. It’s one of the best exercises I can do.”
It meant the world to him that she enjoyed the pool as much as he did, or at least enjoyed it with him. He smiled sheepishly as she added her last comment and winked. “How can you say that and still be half out of the water?” Artie joked as he noticed she had barely entered the water. “If you’re afraid of the cold, I can keep you warm. I promise you the water won’t feel as cold once you dip your head in the water.” Artie said as he wrapped his arms around her. Smiling reassuringly, Artie wanted to make sure she was okay with it. He would never want to force her to do something, but seeing her little shiver he offered his advice. “It’s better to take the plunge than to inch in slowly. Trust me I know from experience.”
It had been so long since she had done something fun, that Quinn almost forgot how to act. Sure, she was supposed to be this party girl and though she lived lavishly, it wasn’t something she got to share with anyone special; it didn’t quite mean as much as it did this day. “I’m glad,” she grinned shyly again, laughing at Artie’s tease that it would be impossible to leave her. “That’s very good to know, because I don’t want you to… I missed you as it is, so today I’m soaking in as much Artie time as possible.” Watching in awe as Artie showed off his backstroke, Quinn complimented, all the while, trying to forget how cold the water felt. Even below the blaring sun, she was still cold, though the idea of Artie keeping her warm was one that she was definitely going to take advantage of. “That’s amazing, seriously. I never took lessons or anything, so I’ve always been a bit afraid to do much in the water,” she admitted, cheeks covered with a faint blush. Her parents hadn’t bothered with such things, and most of the petty girls at TW were far more interested in getting a tan than actually learning how to swim. Artie’s shy smile had her heart skipping; it seemed to be a constant effect whenever she was in his presence.
“I dunnooo,” she shrugged playfully, the smile never leaving Quinn’s features, and as Artie inched closer and assured that he could keep her warm, she was silently wishing that he would. Feeling his warm, strong arms embrace her, the blonde immediately melted into his hold, relinquishing a happy sigh. “I know you’re right, it’s just being brave enough to take that first dip,” she chuckled, slender arms sliding around his own frame in return. She loved this feeling of closeness, and Artie suddenly being a little bolder with her— it let her know that he was was becoming more comfortable with her. “It’s kind of hard to want to dive under right now when I’ve got you so close,” she mused, holding onto him a bit tighter and letting their eyes meet. Now she was mostly immersed in the water; goosebumps across her skin beginning to fade as his warm grip had her heating up. Unsure if Artie was still tentative about a kiss, Quinn leaned in, letting her nose gently nuzzle his cheek as a sign of affection. “I could easily stay this way forever… though I think we’d both be prunes if we did,” she giggled lightly, reveling in the simple conversation and romanticism of the moment.

5-18-7:
Artie could scarcely keep the grin from ripping his face apart as she strode over to a chair next to him. He had to admit, since she agreed to meet him at the pool, he couldn’t keep his thoughts from straying toward the blonde. Finally seeing her here was a relief. He probably would have been self conscious of how little he was wearing, but he was too captivated by Quinn to remember. “What a coincidence,” Artie jested back. As she started to remove her outerwear, Artie remembered just in time not to gawk. ‘Eyes up boner down,’ was the only thing going through his head and Artie barely succeeded. “I know, it looks so amazing when you catch the sunlight at just the right time. I love how I can always relax here no matter what.” It was really nice to be in the warm air. At that moment however, he longed for the cool waters and the safety it would provide.
Smiling as she leaned a kiss on his cheeks, Artie felt the room get even warmer if that was possible. “I missed you too. Of course I invited you. I’m happy to share my favorite thing with my favorite person.” She looked so beautiful and yet she was still shy around him. It amazed him that he could bring this side out of her. “I normally don’t stray from the shallow end either.” As she removed her cover-up leaving nothing but the bikini, he had to remind himself once more not to oogle. Swallowing swiftly to restore his voice, Artie smiled and said, “This way then my lady,” as he lead her towards the shallow end of the pool.
Luckily for Artie, this pool was made to be easily accessible for him. Once he was in the pool, he motioned for Quinn to join him. The first time in the pool was scary for him, since he was unused to not being able to use his legs. Now, though, he was able to use his natural buoyancy to stay afloat. It was really refreshing to feel the cool water wash over him as he did a slow back stroke as he waited for her to join him.
It seemed as though Quinn realized then just how much she had missed Artie as she plopped down beside him, her eyes catching those hypnotizing blue ones. It was a good thing she was so focused, because she could feel her stare daring to drift lower across his barely covered body instead. “It is quite gorgeous; especially when all is so quiet like it is now. I feel safe here,” she told him with a nod, soon stripping herself of accessories and feeling a bit more modest than usual. Smiling as Artie leaned into her kiss, she felt her heart leap at his following words. “I’m your favorite person, really? I feel so honored, Artie… you’re mine too.” Hazel eyes twinkled momentarily before the blonde finally revealed her swimsuit— cover up tossed alongside her other items. She couldn’t help but blush; he had never seen her this revealed, and for once she felt a little self-conscious. “Good, then you won’t leave me,” Quinn chuckled, smile slowly shifting into a smirk as she caught Artie clearing his throat. Was he checking her out? If so, it was the first time… at least the first time she had caught him, and suddenly, she had a boost of confidence.
Watching intently as Artie made his way into the water, Quinn waited for his signal before slipping her feet below the surface with a tiny squeal. “It’s kind of cold,” she laughed, shivering a little as she adjusted to the temperature, letting her body inch by inch go deeper. “You’re so good at that— I am terrible at staying on my back, much less doing a backstroke,” she grinned, seating herself along the stairs so that the majority of her body was immersed now, sprinkling the ends of her hair and leaving them so that they were just a little damp. “How long have you been swimming for?” she asked, leaning back comfortably so her face and chest were out, almost as if she might get a tan through the shielding glass. “I think this is already one of my favorite places… or perhaps it’s just the company,” she winked.
